Peter F. Lyu, PhD, MSPH
My research applies rigorous quasi-experimental methods, statistics, and economics to study health policy and the American health care system. Through this work, I aim to generate new ideas that ultimately improve the functioning of health care markets, enable more effective and equitable care delivery, and lead to healthier populations. My PhD dissertation studied how health care providers participating in Medicare's value-based payment models may have responded strategically to related policies in ways that affect program efficiency and market competition.
